Summary — Someday is an AI companion service that you use with an
anonymous account — no sign-up required. We do not collect your real name,
phone number, or location; your email address is processed only if you choose to link a Google or Apple account. Your chat messages are sent to our servers and an
AI processing provider to generate responses. All characters, conversations, and images are
AI-generated fictional content. This service is for adults (19+) only.
1. Overview
This policy explains what information the Someday team (the "Operator") processes when providing the Someday mobile application (the "App"), why it is processed, how long it is kept, and what rights you have. We comply with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and the EU GDPR where applicable.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- Real name, phone number — the App starts with anonymous authentication; there is no sign-up form. (Email is processed only when you link an account — Section 3.)
- Location — the App does not request location permissions.
- Payment details (card numbers, etc.) — payments are handled by Google Play / the App Store; the App cannot access them.
- Contacts or your whole photo library — the App does not access your contacts and does not read your photo library; only photos you pick yourself in the Creator Studio are uploaded (Section 3).
- Analytics / crash-reporting SDKs — the App does not embed analytics or crash-reporting tools.

5. About AI processing
- Chat messages are sent to AI model providers (such as OpenAI) to generate responses. We do not share your conversations with third parties for purposes other than response generation and safety review.
- All characters, conversations, and images are AI-generated fictional content and do not depict real people.
- Conversations pass through automated safety review; content blocked for policy violations may be logged to protect the service.
- AI responses may be inaccurate and are not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, psychological, etc.). If you are in crisis, please contact your local helpline.
6. Age policy
This service is for adults aged 19 or older only. During onboarding you must confirm yourself that you are 19 or older; we store only that confirmation and its time, and we do not collect your date of birth. Minors cannot use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we delete accounts confirmed to belong to minors.

8. Retention and deletion
- When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and identifying data (nickname, gender, linked email, and any previously collected date of birth) is anonymized immediately. All remaining data — chat history, story progress, affection levels, coin balance, Studio content and images, push tokens, and the Firebase Authentication account (including a linked email) — is permanently deleted within 30 days (Section 9).
- Payment and purchase records (product, amount, date, receipt identifiers) are kept for 5 years as required by the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, then destroyed; they are not used for any other purpose during that period.
- Dates of birth entered at sign-up before September 25, 2026 (previously collected) are no longer collected for new users; existing values are kept while the account exists and are anonymized and deleted through the process above when you delete your account.
- A linked email is kept while your account exists and is deleted through the process above when you delete your account.
- To prevent sign-up rewards from being claimed repeatedly through re-registration, we keep only a one-way hash (SHA-256) of the login identifier of a deleted account for 1 year, then delete it automatically. This value cannot be reversed and is not used to identify you or linked to other data.
- Published user-created content is kept for display until you delete it, delete your account, or it is hidden for policy violations.
- Safety review logs may be retained to prevent abuse, within the scope permitted by applicable law.
- Automatically collected data is retained according to each processor's policy.
9. Account and data deletion
- In the App — Settings > Delete account deactivates your account immediately and anonymizes identifying data; all remaining data is permanently deleted within 30 days (Section 8), except a one-way hash of the login identifier, kept for 1 year to prevent repeated sign-up rewards and then deleted automatically. Coins and subscription benefits are forfeited and cannot be restored. To stop store billing, cancel the subscription in Google Play / App Store subscription settings.

- Uninstalling the App deletes on-device data (login state, settings) but not server data — use account deletion to remove server data.
10. Your rights
- Opt out of ad personalization — Android: Settings > Google > Ads (reset or delete Advertising ID) / iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Stop push notifications — revoke the notification permission in your device settings at any time.

11. International transfers
Automatically collected data and AI-processed data may be processed on the servers of the respective processors (Google, OpenAI, etc.) located in the United States and elsewhere. Each processor applies lawful safeguards such as standard contractual clauses under its own policy.
12. Security
All network communication is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS). Server-side data is stored in access-controlled environments.
13. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we will post the revised version and its effective date on this page. Material changes will be announced separately in the App.
